Featuring Frank on woodwinds, Mike Peipman and Rob Waterfield on trumpets, Rick Walsh on trombone, Rick Myers on guitar, Mike Hatfield on vibes, mallets and percussion, Tom Lockett on bass and Rodney Smith on drums, this 8 piece group made a pretty big sound! This features all the music previously released on the 1981 vinyl album "Booga-Booga" as well as 3 previously unreleased studio cuts. The CD features Scott Getchell's original artwork. This band performed around San Francisco in the early 1990's and was getting quite a reputation as a great party/dance band with great arrangements of cover tunes as well as playing original tunes by Macchia. Featuring Frank Macchia on saxes and vocals, Alex Murzyn on tenor sax, Johnny Bamont on bari sax, Rick Walsh on trombone, John Rosenberg on keyboards and vocals, Eric Jensen and John Hoy on guitars, John Hettel on upright bass, Mike Hyman on drums, Larry Walker on vocals and percussion, and Karen Drucker on vocals, these 20 songs were recorded during the bands life span of 1990-1991 and feature some great playing and fun arrangements.
