YEAH, I KNOW...IT'S BEEN AWHILE!

February 19, 2026

Hi y'all! I've not posted anything new in several months as I've been spending my time learning some new instruments and trying to get better on my existing woodwinds as well.

I've been learning the oboe, English horn and bass oboe, as well as getting back to playing bassoon and also learning contrabassoon over the last few years, and man, these are hard horns to play well! But I'm really having fun learning these new horns and trying to keep up on my flutes, clarinets and saxophones.

My goal is to record an albums worth of material for a 50 piece woodwind ensemble that has jazz, contemporary classical and experimental compositions. If it doesn't kill me it may be ready by the end of 2026!

Stay tuned and take care!
